Snow had fallen, snow on snow… beautiful words from Christina Rossetti’s In The Bleak Midwinter, illustrated with 4 tumbling snowflakes.

Hand printed using silver ink onto black recycled card. The wording was hand set in metal type using Colonna, a gorgeous inline roman typeface designed by Monotype in 1927. The snowflakes are wooden blocks. Produced on my Saroglia, a vintage treadle (foot operated) cast iron printing press.

A6 (10.5cm x 14.8cm) greetings card. Supplied with a brown kraft 100% recycled envelope.
